My dog needs a new home. Now What?
We know what a difficult decision it can be to rehome an animal. While our priority is to save the lives of shelter dogs and retired breeder dogs, we do sometimes help owners find homes for their beloved animals. We can not take an owner surrender dog that shows any signs of aggression.
Options available before surrendering your pet.
Before handing your pet over to a new family, ensure it will be a loving and safe environment for the animal and that your pet and the new family will be a good fit for each other. For instance, you may not want to send your older pet to live with younger children who may not understand why the dog does not want to play with them. When you place your pet in a family that is not a good fit, this often results in yet another move for you dog or placement in a local animal shelter.
If you have exhausted all options, we will do our best to help you. Due to the increasing amount of requests for placing dogs, we will be asking for the following donations when we agree to assist you finding a new home for your dog.
A fee of $20.00 will apply to each of these services.
Please Note: Due to rising costs associated with placing dogs, we require proof that your animal is current on vaccinations (rabies and distemper/parvo) and that the animal has been spayed/neutered prior to beginning any assistance in rehoming. Please contact us for more information.

- Your pet will remain in your care until adoption is arranged. We will list your dog on our website and other advertising sites we utilize. We will need pictures of your dog and basic information including breed, sex, size/weight and a description of personality (good around kids, other dogs, cats, etc.). Your pet must be spayed/neutered and shots current, before we can bring it into our program. You must provide us proof of alter and vaccinations. That does include a copy of the rabies form and tag provided by your vet. You also agree that once we get started in finding a home the dog must go through the rescue as an adoption.
- We take possession of your pet and place them into foster care. We will utilize all of our resources to find a new home for your pet. Your pet must be spayed/neutered and vaccinated before we can bring it into our program. This option is only available as space allows and a foster family is willing to take your dog into their home.
